Jennifer D. Davis, MSN, DMD
Dr. Davis graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1990. She is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She earned her undergraduate degree from UAB. Prior to dental school, Dr. Davis was a registered nurse at Children's Hospital for eight years. She earned her Masters Degree in Nursing and taught nursing school for two years. She has been married to her husband, Jim, since 1976. They have two children, Beth and Katie. They are active members at St. Mary's-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church and members of Friends of Old Time Music and Dance (FOOT MAD). Dr. Davis is a Rotarian and active in local, state and national dental organizations. She is the past-president of the Birmingham District Dental Society and currently serves as Speaker of the House for the Alabama Dental Association.
Melissa S. Nix, DMD
Dr. Nix graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2007. She is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a bachelor of science degree in Biology/Psychology. She has been married to her husband, Chris, since 2006. Dr. Nix is a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church. She enjoys cooking, tennis and jogging. She writes and proofs dental articles for Oakstone Publishing. She is a member of Birmingham District Dental Society, the Alabama Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Jane Williamon, RDH
Jane has been a hygienist since 1983. She has a daughter, Stephanie, and a son, Alan. Stephanie is married and has one son, Owen. She enjoys knitting, reading, and playing with Owen. She has been employed in Dr. Davis' practice since January 2007.
Linda Woods, RDH
Linda has been a hygienist since 1995 and employed in Dr. Davis' practice since 2004. She has one son, who is married. They have a son, who was born in 2007. Linda is a streetrodder and owns a red 1947 Ford pick-up. She likes to go to car shows any time she can.
Pam Freeman, RDH
Pam has been a hygienist since 1990 and has worked in Dr. Davis' practice since 2001. She received her hygiene degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is married and has a daughter, Cameron, who was born in 2001. Pam enjoys art, music, flower gardening, history, football, and volunteering at her daughter's school.
Karen Vance
Karen is Dr. Davis's dental assistant. She has worked with Dr. Davis since February 2000. She has been married to her husband, Kent, since 1996. She enjoys talking with patients, and loves to cook. She and Kent enjoy traveling. Karen loves Alabama football.
Tammy Smith
Tammy is our financial coordinator. She can assist you with financial questions and dental insurance. Tammy has worked with medical and dental insurance and billing since 1996 and has been employed with Dr. Davis since September 2006. She is married and has a son who attends the University of Alabama. Tammy enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles and tailgating in Tuscaloosa.
Kelly Sanders
Kelly is our appointment coordinator and will schedule all of your dental visits. She has been employed with Dr. Davis since October 2005. She has a son, who was born in 1994. Kelly enjoys spending time with her son, traveling, motorcycle riding and being outdoors.
Kelly Trawick
Kelly is Dr. Nix's dental assistant. She has worked with Dr. Nix since the fall of 2007 and has been a dental assistant since 1991. Kelly has two children, a son, Travis, who was born in 1992, and a daughter, Taylor, who was born in 1991. She enjoys working out with her husband, Dale, riding motorcycles and shopping.
